The Indiana University Executive Education Program was founded in 1979 and is offered in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA). The program focuses on government, non-profit agencies, and the private sector to prepare leaders and managers for a future of change and opportunity.

Graduate-level programs are offered at three sites nationally, including Washington, D.C., Keyport, Washington, and Indianapolis, Indiana. Graduate programs include the Master of Public Affairs (MPA) and the Public Management Certificate (PMC). To date, the Executive Education Program has awarded more than 900 Public Management Certificates and more than 300 Masters in Public Affairs degrees. Current clients include the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division.

SPEA’s Executive Education Program also provides customized leadership and management programs for national and local clients, such as The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and the Indiana Hospital and Health Association (IHHA). With AASHTO, we conduct The National Transportation Leadership Institute and The Graduate Transportation Leadership Institute—two of the most influential transportation management programs in the nation. With the IHHA, we conduct the Health Care Management Institute, which has served more than 1500 professionals since 1990. A Graduate Management Institute is also in development for the IHHA.
